Home Depot: Christmas Lights Trade-In!

From November 5th-15th, Home Depot stores are offering a $3 coupon for each set of old Christmas lights you trade in! Coupon can then be used on the new LED lights, which will be temporarily priced at $5.97. Trade in old lights and get new, much more efficient lights for only $2.97 each! Customers can bring in up to 5 sets each.

I will definitely be heading into the store myself because I have had some strange prgenancy issues - I am really affected by smells right now. Free Kids Events Tomorrow

This Saturday, June 13 from 10:00-11:00am, kids can make a mini putting green for Father's Day at Lowe's Build & Grow Clinics. Check with your local store for participation and be sure to register ahead of time. While at the site, you can also register to build a mini pirate ship on Saturday, June 27.

Toys R Us is offering a Super Why! Play Day this Saturday, June 13th from 12:00-2:00pm. There will be a free mask, giveaways, storytime, and alphabet bingo. Check with your local store for participation.

Update: K-Mart NOT Doubling Coupons THis Week!

UPDATE: K-Mart is NOT doubling coupons this week. I have called two of the locations that we heard would be doubling coupons and both stores said they would NOT be doubling coupons. Apparently they take their cue from the ad which is released, and nowhere in the ad does it mention double coupons. Boo!

If you were a reader who was told either by their manager or corporate HQ that K-Mart would be doubling coupons this week, I would encourage you to follow-up with them and express your disappointment with the misinformation. Let them know you have a voice and would be a more loyal shopper if you had consistent, correct information.

Readers Lori and Kaylee have emailed me to let me know that K-Mart Double Coupons are back - FOR THIS COMING WEEK ONLY!! They will be doubling up to $2. Kaylee confirmed with her store on W. Washington and Lori is reporting that her manager said ALL Las Vegas K-Mart stores are participating. My sleuthing turned up less conclusive info - my K-Mart on Rancho couldn't confirm this for me; they told me to check the ad on Sunday.

So, feel free to start preparing your coupons (the high value ones are bext; I have a couple $2 diaper coupons I intend to use) or your mental state of health for this fun sale and I will confirm with you when the Sunday ad rolls out. The only bad news: Double Coupons are limited to 10 coupons per customer per day now and you may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons. Boo!

KMart in Henderson - NO DOUBLE COUPONS!!

Many KMart stores across the country are doubling coupons on the coming weeks. Some people have received information that the KMart in Henderson would be doubling coupons this week. THIS IS NOT TRUE, according to management.

At 9pm on Sunday I called and spoke to the manager on duty, who said I was not the first person to call and ask but he said as far as he knew, NO they were not doubling coupons. He encouraged me though to call back in the morning and speak with those managers, who would probably know more. So at 9am today I called back and was told, NO they were NOT DOUBLING COUPONS.

So that is the official word for me. If any of you decide to stop in to the KMart in Henderson, please confirm with me what you are finding. Thanks savvy shoppers!

I always save up my "needs" (I use this word loosely, as they are more items I drool over than anything else) until a new Babies R Us coupon is released, then happy shopping to me. See you there!

Sam's Club - Free Day Pass

My sister in law just called to tell me that in the newspaper yesterday (some of you may be getting a daily edition) there was a one-day free pass to Sam's Club, valid through tomorrow 4/5. Those of you who have been reading this for awhile know I am not a huge fan of wholesale clubs, but there may be some items you have been wanting to buy in bulk all at once OR you just want to check out Sam's Club prices. Either way, this may be an item of interest to some of you!

Lands End Swimsuits - under $20!

Check out the overstock section on LandsEnd.com to score some fantastic deals on women's swimsuits. (I am sure there are other deals to be had if you dig around, but I am simply smitten with the swimsuit bargains!) One word of caution - I noticed some of the deals are on tops only, so make sure you read the description carefully.

I think Lands End swimsuits are some of the higher quality and more modest suits, and I am prepared to spend a little more to get both of these ingredients. So if I can find something for under $20 - SCORE!

Worried about the suit not fitting? Lands End has great tools for making sure you pick the right size... and if for some reason, you don't like the suit, you can simply return it for free to any Sears store that sells clothing, or use the prepaid return label (Lands End will charge you $6.50 to return it unless you do an exchange) and mail it back to Lands End.
