CVS: New "Green Bag Tag" Card!

Wow! I have some exciting news for all you CVS shoppers--CVS is going green! They have a new card called "Green Bag Tag" for sale in their stores. I'm not exactly sure where these are found, but I'm assuming near the registers. These cards retail for $0.99, but are definitely worth purchasing! Why you ask? Well, each time you visit CVS and bring in a reusable bag, they will scan your "Green Bag Tag" and the 4th time they scan your tag, you will earn a $1 Extra Care Buck! Yay! That's like FREE money!

**Limit one green tag use/scan per day per household.

**If the "Green Bag Tag" cards aren't at your store yet, expect them to arrive in the next week or two.

(Thanks so much for the info & picture, CouponingToDisney!)

Deals Around Town

Target
Target has released a new set of printable Target coupons, MANY for baby products. How did they know?! Stretching a Buck has a great compliation of the best deals with Target and manufacturer coupon match-ups; some of her coupon match-ups are regional, so you may not be able to find the coupon in your stash, but it is a good place to start.

Walgreens
Walgreens has released a $5/$25 coupon, good Wednesday through Saturday. The coupon is only valid after all other coupons and discounts have been used, so you will pay $20 out of pocket. However, use the coupon in conjunction with any "Register Rewards" items to make a quick $5 (or more), then roll your RR into other purchases if you like.

Also, Tylenol 8 Hr. is on sale B1G1 FREE. Pair that sale with the coupon in Sunday's Smart Source to snag a couple of bottles for $.49.

CVS
You still have a day to get some freebies from the CVS 3-Day sale. Some of you report that your store won't give you a raincheck for these items, but other stores will so ask.

You can get free Glade Sense and Sprays this week, using the coupon from Sunday's Smart Source when you combine it with the ECB offer. The other Glade products will be cheap after the coupon and ECB, so go ahead and stock up.

CVS Coupon - $5/$25

Take the ReadyFill Quiz on the CVS website and after you complete the quiz, you can print a coupon for $5/$25 at CVS (no penalty for wrong answers on the quiz). The coupon appears to be good for 2 weeks from print date, or perhaps is good until 8/22 for everyone.

Also, ask about the Ready Fill program at the pharmacy and you can receive a coupon booklet worth $25.

I plan on using my $5/$25 coupon to make money on the "free after ECB" items at CVS this week. Don't know what I mean by that? You need to attend my Advanced Couponing Class. Email me to find out how!

Upcoming CVS Deals - Week of 8/2

Here's a couple of deals I spotted at CVS for the week of 8/2 that I am excited about:

Stayfree maxi pads, $5. Get $5 ECB wyb $10. Use the BOGO coupon from the SS-6/28 to get them FREE!

Electrosol dish tablets, $4.50. Get $10 ECB wyb $20. Buy 5 boxes for $22.50, use (5) $2.50 coupons from SS-7/12 to get them FREE!

I was excited to see these deals come across the wire, but of course we will have to wait and double check our own Las Vegas CVS ad to make sure they show up. But if they do - yippee!

CVS & Walgreens - A Few Deals

** Watch the bottom of your CVS receipts!! Quarterly ECB are printing!! **

CVS has some fun deals going on today only (they were yesterday too, but I didn't get to posting this):

* Caliber or CVS brand Transparent or Invisible Tape $1.49 get $1.49 ECB (LIMIT 3)
* Caliber or CVS brand Pencils 20 pack or Double Blade Pencil Sharpener 99 cents get 99 cent ECB (LIMIT 3)
* CVS Brand Pantiliners 22 count 89 cents get 99 cent ECB (LIMIT 1)

And all week long you can get these deals:
Post Trail Mix Crunch cereal is 3 for $10 and you get a $5 ECB when you buy 3 (LIMIT 1). Use 3 of these $2 off Post Trail Mix Crunch printable coupons (you will need two computers), pay $4 and get a $5 ECB.

I also realized that even with all of the grocery store sales on mustard in the last little while, I don't have any so I will also be picking up some French's Mustard for $.50.

Walgreens also has some cheap stuff too:

Starbucks Ice Cream Pints is B1G1 $4.79 and there was a $2 coupon in the 6/21 Smart Source insert. Use 2 and you will pay 79 cents plus tax for 2. The math is off slightly on Grocery Smarts, and if you use two coupons (like you can with a B1G1 FREE sale) it is really cheap!

Awesome CVS deal!

Wow! CVS has a super HOT unadvertised deal!

The Always Infinity Pads 28-36 count are ringing up at just $4.99! These are normally priced at $10+! Please keep in mind these will most likely not be marked at your local CVS, so price check them to see if in fact they are ringing up at just $4.99! If so, use the $4/1 coupon from the 6/7PG to get them for just .99 each! Yay!

I have not double checked this but if you are going to CVS you might be able to get a great deal. Let us know if this is working at your store!

UPDATE: CVS Webpage Has Been Changed! No ECB!

The diaper deal I posted about yesterday has been changed. It seems that the webpage I directed you to has been altered and CVS has removed the language promising the $5 ECB when you purchase a pack of Pampers diapers. If you have a print-out of the original webpage you can surely discuss this with your CVS store manager to see if they would still honor it, but there is no way to ask them to enforce the $5 ECB when the webpage has been updated.

Sorry everyone! I hope some of you were able to take advantage.

Sunday, June 7

Run, Do NOT Walk - Pampers at CVS for $3.99!!

I have done the deal successfully!! It IS an unadvertised deal and was NOT ringing up at my store. However, I spoke with the manager before attempting to check out and showed her the printed page with the advertised price and asked if they were honoring it. She told me she had actually talked to corporate about it this morning and they verified that IT WAS TO BE HONORED. So she knew about it, but had to manually override the price and the ECB. It was a bit of a hassle for us both, but I was patient and let others go in front of me who were stacking up in line and kept reminding myself of how much money I was saving!

Remember two things - be patient and stick to your limit of THREE packs. Good luck everybody. Please report back about your experience!

***

OK, people I will go the store today and try this deal and report back, but here is the scoop according to
Common Sense With Money:

There seems to be an unadvertised deal on Pampers at CVS this week. The deal is not advertised on the weekly sales circular but it is advertised on the CVS website. You can see the ad and details on this page right here. As you can see the deal as advertised on the CVS website is pretty awesome: Buy one jumbo pack of Pampers for $8.99 and get $5 Extra Care Bucks Back. Use a $1/1 coupon from the6/7 P&G insert and it’s like paying $2.99 per pack.

I have waited to share this “deal” with you because the deal has not printed the Extra Care bucks for anyone yet. Some stores activate their Sunday sales on Saturday and those people who have tried this have not gotten their ECBs at checkout. Since they brought a print out of what’s advertised on the CVS website, almost always a manager has forced the ECBs to print for them. I have been monitoring this since early this morning and even those with 24-hour store, have not had the ECBs to print.

The deal is advertised on the website though. So, if you would like to take advantage of it, just take a print out of the webpage with you and when the ECBs don’t print make your case to the cashier and manager. Chances are very very good that they will honor it. As far as the limit for this deal, the printed ad advertises a limit of 3 on the price of $8.99 per pack.
