If you haven't had a stock-up shopping trip in a long time, this week may be your week! Both Albertsons and Smiths are running some hefty sales, PLEASE check out the Grocery Smarts lists, ok??
The sale at Smiths will take off your savings instantly at checkout, so it will very easy to make sure you get the right price (most of the items they had last week they are continuing with this week). The sale at Albertsons is a but trickier - save $15 off your next shopping trip (three $5 coupons will print out) when you spend $30 AFTER coupons and tax. Grrr... I tried it this morning and I had to spend the $30 after coupons in order to get the catalinas.
OK so that little detail may trip you up a bit, BUT the good news is that with the Grocery Smarts lists, the bottom line price is on the right side, so just add that price up and make sure you hit $30 before heading to the store. Save yourself LOTS of frustration.
Also, it seems that some the printable coupon match-ups that the listmakers work so hard to get right switched on us overnight (the coupons which were there on Tuesday are no longer there today) so if you are having trouble finding them, you aren't blind. They might now be there. Take a deep breath and crack open your coupon binder instead.
I am eyeballing the Huggies boxes though - you can't beat the price after catalinas. If you need diapers, head to Albertsons!
Happy shopping everybody!!

It also says one offer per customer at Albertsons. So can we only do it once?
Some shoppers are reporting that they have rolled their transactions, but after my experience with $30 AFTER coupons and tax, I am a little leary to try and disobey the "one offer per customer" fine print. I would proceed with caution.
I like the Smiths deal better. You don't even have to do separate transactions. Last week I had 30 items that qualified for the $5 instant savings. They were all rung up together and it worked like a charm, $15 off at the end of the transaction.
The Albertsons news makes me want to cry!!! I can't believe that they have changed it! It makes it so that you're not really getting 50% off, right?
Well, it STILL is 50% off, we just like getting things for MORE than 50% off, don't we? *wink* We are so spoiled with Grocery Smarts!
Okay so I went last night (Farm and Durango) and it did not work for me. The nice Manager fixed it all and told me it is after coupons......however my mom went last night too (Craig and 95) and it worked just fine for her!? I have not read on any other blog that it is $30 after coupons? Hmmm.
The ad DOES say after coupons. And the ad is the final authority.
I just went to Albertson's (at Ann & 95) yesterday, and here's my story: I spent $33.77 before tax and coupons, knocked $5.40 with coupons, and so I ended up spending $29.91. And the $15 still printed! Maybe they're rounding up your total after coupons?? Anyhow, works for me!
I have heard it working for some and not for others. I spoke with a manager today at Durango/Farm location and we tried to experiment with a few scenarios. I think it depends on which items you are purchasing in your transactions. She did get out the official paper and it did say you must spend $30 after coupons. It also said that it is one per transaction not per customer as the ad states.

My ad does not say after coupons (or I cannot find that anywhere)...It does say "excludes manufacturer and store coupons" but excludes means doesn't count. I really have no idea why Albertsons has to be so confusing. Also the prices on products are so expensive with these deals so if you cannot use coupons its a no go for me!!! Albertsons in not coupon friendly in my parts of the woods (Henderson)
I just did the whole Albertson's thing, and, not wanting to mess with the whole deal thing, I just bought 2 boxes of diapers and with coupons and catalina, the price came out to just under $.10 each. Not a screamin' deal, but better than what I've seen for a while. It beats the price at Walgreen's this week, too, so you might want to just go ahead and do it.
