Not everything always goes smoothly at the stores, not even for me. Lately, I have had a love/hate relationship with Walgreens and their coupon policies. Or lack thereof, more like it. I have written to the company three times now to try and get a written coupon policy, and as of this post I am still waiting for a reply.
I am writing this because some of you may have trouble doing the Walgreens deals this week like I did when I went to the store. The first cashier/assistant manager got frustrated with me and had to hand me over to another manager, who also wouldn't allow an Easy Saver coupon and a manufacturer coupon for the Garnier. They also wouldn't accept a coupon for a clearance L'Oreal makeup; that was a new one to me!
Maybe I got the picky store, because I DO know some of the managers who have NEVER given me a problem before at that same store. In my opinion (and seemingly the opinion/knowledge of many, many other bloggers) Walgreens SHOULD take both an Easy Saver coupon and a mnufacturer coupon; and it shouldn't matter if the item is on sale or clearance whether or not you are able to use a coupon. So readers - beware and don't say I didn't warn you.
When I hear from Walgreens headquarters as to their official coupon policy, I will share it with you too. Until then, let me urge you to stay polite regardless of the situation. Stand your ground and just ask to have the items in question removed from your order if they won't take your coupons and take your coupons back from the cashier. It can be frustrating, I know, but it won't solve anything for us to get upset in the store. Chin up - and happy shopping!

Amen sister.
I used a coupon with the Easy Saver coupon yesterday. I was at the Walgreens on Lake Mead and Boulder. She let me do it!
well, at least one thing is consistant - and that's that we all know Walgreen's is NOT consistant. Does not matter if you are on the west coast, the east coast or in between!
