K Mart Trip #1

I decided this week to split my K Mart couponing adventure into as many trips as needed in order to not shop with cranky kids. I think I can do it in two trips, with the help of suckers and Goldfish crackers. Here is a picture of my first trip:

Total before coupons: $57.14 plus tax
Total after coupons: $25.71

KMart actually did not have many of the products I had coupons for and alot that they did have were still not cheap enough for me to buy them even with double coupons, but what I got I feel like I can put to use (which is the key to being a good steward!):

* Ziploc storage container sets (Final price $1 each)
These have been on my wish list for awhile; I need new Tuppeware desperately
* Glade airfreshener (FP free)
Free? Why not?
* Cereal (FP $.50 each)
Apple Jacks come in handy in our house for after nap snacks and why not have Rice Krispies on hand for baking or breakfast?
* Baby cereal
I always need that!
* Pop Tarts (FP $1)
I have discovered the joys of on the go "breakfast food" for morning when we need to get out the door and my kids wake up late. Not the most nutrious, but I appreciate the convenience.
* And a few other things to use around the house - dog treats, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, Wet Ones (for the car)

I will be heading back before the sale is over (ends December 6) to try and match-up my coupons with personal products, like shampoo. Stay tuned!
