Overseas Travel Discounts

Here is a great tip from my sister-in-law for any of you thinking about travelling overseas:

If you are fairly open about when you want to take your vacations, you can sign up under www.vfp.org - it's a website that lists all of the volunteer projects in different countries. You can look up specifics in the country you are interested in visiting and the projects underway, which usually require a day out of your vacation to work on them. For your day of service, you end up getting their discounts to travel to those countries - I was looking at one for $430, boarding and flights, included for a trip to either Italy or Greece. If you're willing to serve for a day, the savings seems worth it, and I've heard a lot of great things about it!
