We all have those little things in our life that we refuse to compromise on. For me it's toilet paper. I love Quilted Northern. And unfortunately for me it hardly ever has coupons (not that the $.25 Charmin coupons are very good; seriously, where are the good toilet paper coupons?) and is hardly ever below $6 for 12 double rolls. It's a sad commentary on my life when I got excited this past week that I could get a 24 double roll pack for $9.99.
We also keep chips and salsa in the house at all times. We're not too picky on salsa, but we are a little snooty on chips. I don't really like store brands. And Tostitos tortilla chips are another thing that don't go on (a good) sale too often. I stocked up when they were on sale at Vons but I know they will run out and then I will just have to suck it up and pay full price.
I also think there are necessary splurges to make life a little happier - a pack of candy at the checkout; perhaps a gossip magazine for the weekend; or an ice cream cone out with the kids.
So what are your thoughts? Does anybody else have a splurge that they think is a must? Leave a comment and tell us about it.

hair products, a good pedicture, salsa con queso (tostitos brand), and 100 calorie packs are my weekness
WOW your blog is great. My sister and I appreciate all you do.
My family are also Tostitos snobs. We have a family favorite dinner that calls for chips . I have only ONCE found a tostitos coupon (is was like the holy grail ).
I love generic brands, for a lot of things. There are some things I just cannot scrimp on. After trying every cheap brand of diaper, I always go back to Huggies diapers and wipes. I love the thick sliced bacon, real yoplait yogurt and more expensive bread. The other stuff is like cardboard!
i splurge on a massage once every few months - it keeps me sane! I also will always buy my charmin toilet paper and bounty paper towels, no matter what! You know the commercial where they use Bounty and wet it and reuse it? That's what i do - it really can be used over and over again...:)
