This concept may be new to some of you reading this blog, but I hope as we educate each other on ways to save money, this topic may not seem so foreign in the future. A few weeks ago I explained how to make the most of sales and coupons at
CVS using their Extra Care Bucks system. This system has worked phenomenally well for me, to the point where the discussion "what will I not pay for anymore?" is not ludicrous at all. Between
ECB and Register Rewards at
Walgreens (as well as their monthly rebates), combined with stacking store coupons and
mannys, these items always seem to be free somewhere:
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Shampoo
- Makeup
- Trial-sized products
- Feminine products
This list is in no way complete and I hope that as I learn more there are more items I can add to my list. I am getting closer to adding baby wipes and milk, but for now will leave them be.

Why has CVS extra care bucks never worked for me. I never know how many I have, and I once tried buying five seperate items, that were wrong up five seperate times trying to get a receipt to print out my care bucks. How often can you use these bucks, and do they go away after a certain amount of time?

okay, sorry I had to delete my last comment because the amount of typos was embarrassing. Anyway, I have yet to find what I will not pay for anymore, but thanks to you and other savvy friends, I no longer think $.25 per diaper is a good deal. I now will not pay more then $.12 for a diaper.
