Getting an extra $.05 for each reusable bag
It has come to my attention that different stores are giving a $0.05 credit for each reusable bag you use when checking out! They also don't care where the bag came from or what type of logo is on it. I'm excited about this. It's just another great way we'll be able to save. In a sense it's like FREE money! Yay!
I have done it at Smith's Marketplace. Let us know what other stores are doing this as well.
A great way to save some trash & save a little money. =)

I was wondering if it mattered where the bags came from. Fantastic! I'll try to remember to take my bags to Smith's today!
Albertsons has been doing this for years. At least as early as 2003 when I was working there. The real trick is getting a cashier who remembers/knows the code to punch into the register to give you the discount. A good idea is to find out the code yourself. That way if they don't know, you can tell them and they don't have to stress about looking it up.
What a fantastic idea! Not only does it save you the consumer money, it saves the environment (ie. trash/ cutting of trees and other materials/ electricity), it also saves the stores money. Win-win for everyone!
